The worst part is that she had to wait six hours. She might not have lost her legs if she'd been treated more quickly.

It's stupid to go on drinking binges but this is TERRIBLE. I hope she wins her case.

She DID go drinking. The alcohol DIDN'T help. But she still waited SIX HOURS and lost both her legs because of it. Getting drunk has nothing to do with how long you wait to get treated. And you know what? She'll have a bastard of a time working and the state will need to support her.

I sit like that to watch telly and Mum always said it was bad for me. I just never actually took her seriously. *sits properly*

Poor girl. Will be interesting to see how the case pans out though. The state doesn't like to admit responsibility, could open the floodgates for lots of other claimants.

Tell you what, I'll put a tourniquet on your leg for 12 hours and we'll see if they can save it immediately.
