| Oh, god. Now, I have to admit, like any fangirl, I squeed when Sylar hit on Claire towards the end of last season. But why I did because it was creepy and so something I can see him doing, just to mess with her. However, most fangirls think that means it's TWU LUV between the two. I present you this: Married to a Monster: Sylaire, AU. Ok, didn't give us much to go on. So, let's see what the story has for us. Claire, evidently, married Sylar for some insane reason. - Quote :
- How can you love someone who hurt you so much that it caused you heartbreak?
Ok... - Quote :
- I, Claire Bennett, married a monster. Ever since then I wasn’t the same.
He killed my father, and hurt others, even me. Right, gotcha... bad guy.... - Quote :
- But I went through with it, now I can’t leave because I’m scared. I can’t shift my ‘death spot’ like he can, he know exactly where it is so he could kill me if I go. That’s what I fear, it’s not like it would happen, but it’s possible.
Ok, good point there. An abuser would have threats like that over their victim. - Quote :
- And all those arguments, the worse ones were when he telekinetically controlled me. He would make things fly towards me, at better times I would dodge them but now I don’t.
We totally get it. Abused. Gotcha. - Quote :
- “I need to talk to you” I said seriously.
This could be the biggest mistake of my life. I don’t know if he could handle this or how he would handle this. “Go on” He told me. Sylar sipped his drink as I told the news. “You’re going to be a Dad!” I exclaimed. Sylar sprayed the water in his mouth everywhere. “I’m going to be a Dad?” He asked me happily. He seemed happy about it. Sylar hugged me as he jumped around, probably annoying the neighbors down stairs. That’s what I was crying about earlier, I had taken a pregnancy test and it was a positive. It was tears of Joy and Sadness. Wait, they have neighbors? Well, I suppose... and yay for pregnancy? Uhm... I'm feeling a little bit of some contradictions here.... let's move onto the next chapter, shall we? - Quote :
- I knew where he was off to.
Elle Damn, Sylar gets around! Also, we can crank up the wangst factor another notch, because he's OMG cheating on his pregnant wife! So, she leaves him and goes to Monica's, whoever Monica is. I don't remember if she's in the show or not. Anyway, Monica says to leave him, which she just did... and without being telekinetically thrown around too. - Quote :
- “You can’t a cup of coffee I don’t think; your caffeine might be bad for the baby” Monica explained.
But the coffee's caffeine is A-OK. - Quote :
- “Let me see Claire!” He demanded.
“No” Monica slammed the door on him. She went back to bed. He's, ah, a pretty ineffectual violent abuser with super powers, isn't he? So, she goes out grocery shopping and runs into... dun Dun DUN! Sylar! He begs her to take him back, saying that he's dumped Elle and loves her. She does indeed take him back, saying how much she missed his eyes and smiles and hugs... *barfs* Anyway, she's so thrilled about her pregnancy, she's considering having an abortion. No, seriously, she's happy, but she thinks about having the Haitian there to... well, I don't know. You decide. - Quote :
- 1 month and 1 week into my pregnancy, it wasn’t too late to have an abortion. I could get the Haitian to be there while it happens. Then the arguing would happen more often.
Jerry-Springer!Sylar: "You aborted mah babeh!" Jerry-Springer!Claire: "Yeah, well, I wouldn't have had to if you didn't sleep with Elle and knock her up too!" Because yes! Elle is pregnant as well! *GASP* We can turn the wangst dial up yet another notch. - Quote :
- “I’m 5 months, I found out 2 months ago. I’m going to be doing this on my own; I can’t do it Claire, What if it gets a power, what if it looks like him” She started to cry.
If he's so awful, then why did you sleep with him in the first place, you twit? - Quote :
- “Why are you being so nice? You’re supposed to hate me; I’m pregnant to your husband.” Elle complained
Huh? So, Sylar comes in and tells Elle to beat it, and Claire turns around on him, saying that he has to be there for Elle and her baby. He's all like, "BUT I DUN KNOW WHAT TO DO" and Claire's all, "I'm making dinner and having an abortion, er, I mean miscarriage." Yes, next chapter--Claire has a miscarriage! Which she finds out during a regular prenatal scan when the doctor can't find the kid. Maybe it's an alien? Hur hur hur. - Quote :
- The scan tickled my stomach, my most sensitive area. But as he scanned over…again and again and again… a shock expression formed on his face. Then I became concerned.
“What’s wrong?” I asked. “I can’t see the baby…” He had grabbed a stethoscope and held the end to my stomach. “…I can’t hear a heartbeat, I think the baby died” After a while, a few tests, and some other doctors, we finally got news. “I’m sorry…” My eyes watered up… I knew what he was going to say. “The baby didn’t make it. You had a miscarriage” OH NOEZ! You would have thought the blood and pain would be a sign, but nooo... it's a total surprise to her. So then Sylar goes off with Elle, because Claire was right and he 'needed to be there' for his kid. Crank the wangst dial up yet another notch. Claire goes to Monica's and weeps about it, and Monica makes dinner. And there ends our fascinating look into Heroes soap operas.

| Now just a cotton pickin' minute-it is impossible to miscarry a baby without noticing it UNLESS it's so early in the pregnancy you don't realize you're pregnant. I remember an ob/gyn doctor telling me once it's not uncommon for women who complain about their periods being late to have miscarried. Sometimes, the cramps will be particularly bad and you'll bleed longer; then the doctor can generally tell if you're having a miscarriage.
However, if you're far enough along to have tested positive for pregnancy, you would know something was wrong when you started having cramps and bleeding. Unless the baby's a mutant and is invisible, which automatically jacks the wangst factor up X500%.

| Looks like the author removed her story... I guess the quotes you used are all we have to go on, huh. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I hate stories like that [Sylaire]. I usually avoid those like the plague that they are. In regards to Monica, she Micah's cousin, who was introduced in Season 2 of Heroes. | |

| Am I the only one who thought at the title, "Ooh, is this a twisted retelling of Beauty and the Beast? Because I could go for that!" | |

| Am I the only one who thought, at the end of Season one, "Wow, Sylar was a really good villain, but now I really want him to actually be dead and never come back"? | |

| Whilst I could recognize he made a good villain, I actually hated Sylar's guts for the entirety of Season One. And Two. So yeah, I wanted him to be dead'd and gone.
Then Season Three rolled 'round and I suddenly gained some appreciation for him. (The new Star Trek movie may have had something to do with this.) So I wanted him gone and then I didn't.
But honestly, Heroes started getting so pretentious after Season One (lookin' at you, Mohinder) that around Season Three I kinda stopped caring beyond wanting to give Claire a hi-five across the face.

Which was the actual plan for Season 1, before the writers decided to scrap it and cater to the fans (S2 was supposed to have a brand new main cast, with the survivors of S1 - which would not include Sylar - popping in and out of the story). As for Monica, yeah she's Micah's cousin with the photographic reflexes (who got the Chuck Cunningham treatment just as she was starting to get interesting).

Not only pretentious but EVEN MORE stupid. Monica...urgh. Micah...God. Oh hey, some kids who are friends of my idiot cousin stole my comic books and something of my dad's. I want it back! Let's...NOT tell the police, but enlist my moronic female cousin to help me; I'm sure that if she watches a few kung fu movies she can kick ass. Oh, wow, those friends of my male cousin's? Apparently they're hardcore criminals. Fortunately they're so stupid they burn their own hide-out with the kidnapped female cousin inside of it...because of a couple of comics. Aargh. Claire made me hope for a painful and lonely death in season one, but in season two I caught myself growling at the screen whenever she showed her dumb I'm-really-sixteen-honest! face. Dad, I want to be normal! I want to do what comes naturally to me! I want to CUT OFF MY BLOODY TOE WITH A PAIR OF SCISSORS WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT! You know, just to see if it grows back. Why can't you understand? And then the whiny bitch with her black gooey eyes and Nostril Man Sylar with his endless prattling and Adam who has learned NOTHING about life during all the time he was alive, and holds an endless grudge of one man kissing a girl he didn't really like in the first place... Yeah, Heroes. Great promise. Horrible second season. I wouldn't know about the third, I couldn't bring myself to watch it.

| The second season was really hamstrung by the Writers' Strike.
The third season... well there's really no excuse. (Didn't bother with the fourth).

The third season... well there's really no excuse. (Didn't bother with the fourth). The fourth season is actually a vast, vast improvement over the previous two. I personally thought it even managed to recapture the charm of the first season. The entire appeal of the show was in its characters, and they managed to take advantage of that nicely. Granted, the final battle is not so great, but I get the feeling that this season wasn't building up to the battle, exactly, but to what happens afterwards. And if you haven't been spoiled yet about the beginning of Volume Six, then I won't do it. Suffice to say that it is something I've always wanted to see on this show since the first time I watched it. I realize my personal endorsement might not mean much to you, but hey, I liked it.
