But honestly, what sort of wuss complains about the chairs in the library being uncomfortable? They're library chairs-they're designed to be uncomfortable. Or do they have special comfy chairs for women the male students aren't allowed to use?

It's an ergonomically designed office chair. If you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, it's supposed to take the strain off your lower back and help you maintain better posture than ordinary office chairs or straight chairs.

I'm assuming these were the super speshul secret chairs that they let the women use in the library, while the men had to sit on hard wooden chairs. No doubt there's a clause somewhere in his suit about the unfairness of expecting someone to spend a half-hour sitting on a hard wooden chair while they look up something on the computer. In which case, he wouldn't survive five minutes at our local library.

Well absolutely. And who knows, perhaps the course this guy is objecting to might have covered that, if he bothered to hang around longer than six weeks. Or if not those exact issues, then maybe stuff like men being at increased risk of homelessness or the high rate of suicide among young men. But he doesn't seem to be campaigning for any of that stuff to be on the course, even - he just wants that sweet sweet cash. In fact, a less charitable individual might suggest that Mr. Martin was a blinkered MRA-type fretting about the loss of his privilege to begin with, and deliberately chose gender studies so that he could drop out and then sue the university for fabulous prizes. Not to mention making it possible for like-minded whinging misogynists to do the same in future by setting a precedent.
