It would help if we knew what grade the kids were in. I can see something like this being really difficult to explain to, say, a kindergartner or first grader, but if the kids are in fifth grade and their parents haven't explained the basics of sex to them yet, I really don't think that's the schools job.

Our school had a mandatory 'this is what's going to start happening to your body; no you're not actually dying' presentation in fifth grade. We also did a special unit in health on the parts of the sexual anatomy and how they work and what they're called and how to take care of them. We covered conception and personal hygeine and where to get help if you're being sexually abused. I don't think we did anything on condoms or The Pill though; I think it was abstinance-only.

My thoughts exactly Mafiosa. Oh and Sheba same thing with us but even Mississippi wouldn't do abstinance only. Maybe it had to do with the high pregnancy rate our junior high and high school had.

Haha, I'm so paranoid about this. I always, always check, like, five times to be sure I'm not accidentally emailing porn to my grandma or my teachers. So I do feel bad for her, but I'm with everyone else wondering how exactly the porn got onto the DVD.

Despite my mom becoming pregeant again when I was 12, I still didn't know anything about actual sex. I knew of the existance of this nebulous thing called sex, but the mechanics of it utterly escaped me. I also knew that males had a "plug" and women had a "socket", but I guess I never really put 2 and 2 together. :/:
I expressed some curiousity to my parents around age 15, and their response was to get me a book about plugs, sockets, proper hygine for each, and "love" (in the eros sense only). It so disgusted me with a drawing of the inferior surface of the socket, that I put it down for more comfortable reading.
At around age 16 or 17, I developed/realized my fetish, and that was the development of my sexuality. I think I ended up skipping past that section of the book and finishing it. That's it: no classes on sex ed. at all. (at least, none that I can recall)

If you're making them to sell to other people and you don't want them to look like porn, then that would be why.

Of course, the smart thing to do then would be differentiate between that and the "clean" ones by making the covers different, or burning different colored DVDs, or something else equally obvious.

Well, this is going to be intensely humiliating for her for a long time.

Personally, as long as she wasn't doing anything illiegal in the tape, and it really was a mistake (I can see that it could be one), that should be enough punishment. No kid in that school is going to look at her the same way ever again.

I'm thinking she may have been intermittently working on her porn DVD and her memories DVD and forgot to switch DVDs in the computer.

Or, she could have had a porn file with a similar name to a memories file and accidentally put it on there. She might even have saved the porn file to the wrong folder and not realized that, when she saved all the stuff to the DVD, the porn file was included.

Also, why does a guy with a fifth grade age son think the boy will need therapy after seeing some (presumably) consensual sex? If I had seen something like that at that age, it would have filled in a few more blanks and given me something else to fantasize about.

I don't like people who sue in their kids names. Well, sometimes they have a right, but all too often when they do it, they keep the money for themselves and the kids never see a penny of it.
