| I've got this fic I've just started and it's going to have some healing sex in it. But both people are broken. She's a victim of sexual abuse years before and he's, well he's Dean Winchester. That's enough. So it's not just the Healing Power of the Cock here. So how do I avoid the cliches and make it more believable? The sex is not the whole point of the story, but is important to the story. Oh yeah, they kind of hate each other at first. So, help me here. | |

| Unless you can provide us with spectacular evidence as to why it's needed for the fic?
Don't.
Just don't.
Especially not with Dean.

| It's important to the plot. Just trust me on this. Besides, Sam is one who's girlfriends always end of dead. | |

| I don't see Dean being a healing sex type, it'd probably end up hurting the girl more than healing her. | |

I'm unsure as to how we can help you if you're going to be that vague about it. Can you give us an idea of what's going on?

| Hmmm... healing sex?
Well, it's not an original idea. So, try to do something that makes it original. Imagine; you were sexually abused. The idea of intimate touches are going to make you feel very uncomfortable.
So basically, it's not the healing power of sex, but the healing power of friendship which may later turn into sex.
Yeah, that's it. Make them friends BEFORE they have the sex. Please?
That's DEFINITELY an original concept.

| Is it more that they're turning to each other for comfort? Because I could see two broken people sleeping together to dull/block out the pain, just for one night, but in the morning all their deep emotional problems are still there - along with morning-after awkwardness.
"Healing sex" as used around here refers to sex as an instant fix for whatever ails you. A more realistic way to go with it is to have one or both parties believe that sex will magically make everything all right again, maybe cruising along in denial for a little while afterwards pretending that everything's okay, only to be bitterly disillusioned when their trauma/problems are still there. EDIT: Or, it could be a turning point for one or both of them, something that kickstarts a recovery, but they still have a lot of work to do and a long road ahead of them, rather than a magic wand that makes everything okay.

| Without giving away too much of the plot, I see it more as two broken people starting to reach an understanding about each other. It doesn't make everything better, but it does give them a bit of hope. | |

Yeah, that's a good point Cyber. I'll remember that for some other time; it could come in handy.
