As a devoted wrestling fan when I was growing up, Randy Savage was one of my heroes. Always entertaining, he had a larger-than-life personality and put his all into giving the crowds exactly what they wanted, be it as a heel or a face. RIP, Macho Man, you will be missed terribly.

Yes, it was rather the point. I think that was just his stage name. Wrestlers tend to take on very lulzy names and persona's as part of their act. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, etc.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage was a lot more marketable than Randall Mario Poffo.

ZoZo, people with the first name Randall being called Randy is common in North America. Savage wasn't using it to imply being lecherous, horny etcetera, although that usage is found over here as well.

As inspired by the 'What are you listening to now?' thread, I thought this might be an appropriate tribute song to the man.
