Taliban hangs 7-year-old boy as a "spy".

Yeah. That's right. A seven-year-old.

Seriously though, i've heard of kids a little bit older than that from friends over there being employed by the U.S. army as spies and informants.

I have read of a Russian boy about that age who was put to the wall during WWII. He had become the mascot of a German unit, until they found something odd with his habit of picking up stuff from the ground. There were X pebbles in his left pocket and Y in the right, and the unit had X trucks and Y half-tracks.

Then there's Vietnam.
And land mines.
Better not go there.
