Now to be fair, the article does mention that Democrats have done similar photoshop shenanigans in the past, but not so much the absurd "PREY ON THEIR FEAR" part of this. This is really not what the GOP needs right now and it's all thanks to one dumbass who can't keep his secret propaganda plans hidden properly.

And I am not surprised in the slightest.

The utter failure of leaving confidential controversial documents where anyone could read them has me leery of whether it's the result of some Watergate 2, or a convert wanting to do what he could to help his new chums. The actual existance of the plans, however, doesn't surprise me, either.

Chaltab, speaking as an ignorant European who grew up in a place where terrorism was a significant problem, I wouldn't say that the Republicans don't care at all about terrorism. It's more that they don't care about tackling the root causes of terrorism, because that involves treating the populations that terrorists claim to represent as human beings, and addressing the complex political situations that give birth to terrorist organisations. It's a lot easier to make citizens afraid of brown people in turbans, and use that fear to justify doing whatever you want in the name of anti-terrorism.
