Police uncover plot to castrate and murder Justin Bieber

Even if you don't like Justin Bieber or his music, you gotta admit this is pretty fucked up:

Details of the grisly plot were revealed by police in New Mexico, who said it was masterminded by a convicted killer who is obsessed with the 18-year-old performer.

Dana Martin, 45, who is serving 978 years in jail for the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl, had written letters to the singer and has a tattoo of Bieber on his leg.

Police said Martin recruited two would-be hitmen Mark Aaron Staake, 41, and his nephew, Tanner Ruane, 23, to try to kill Bieber.

They were instructed to try to get to the singer while he was in New York performing two shows at Madison Square Gardens in late November.

They were also allegedly told to use a paisley tie to strangle him, just as Martin had done in his previous crime.

Martin and Staake met in prison and Staake was released in October. Martin is alleged to have instructed Staake to kill Bieber, his bodyguard, and two other people in Vermont on his release.

On November 19 Staake and Ruane were driving through Vermont to kill the first two victims but got lost near the Canadian border, police said.

They were stopped by a US border agent and Staake was detained because there were warrants for his arrest on other matters in New Mexico. Pruning shears were allegedly found in the car.

Ruane later telephoned Martin in prison in New Mexico to discuss the plot, but the call was monitored by by prison officials. In the call Ruane described how he was going to “go snip, snip.”

Martin subsequently confessed and Ruane was arrested a week later, just days before Bieber appeared at Madison Square Gardens.

In a statement the singer’s management team said: “We take every precaution to protect and ensure the safety of Justin and his fans.”

How fucking stupid can people be? Monkeys could pull off a murder with more competency and efficiency.

And strangling someone is a horrible choice of method. No one chokes quickly. Strangling a person gives them time to struggle, which could leave noticeable defensive wounds on the attacker or evidence like skin under fingernails.
