Listens to the two tracks
That wasn't all that pleasant to listen to, not one bit. But, looking what has come out in the latter part of this decade, it's really no worse then some of the other stuff that has come along. It still doesn't hold a candle to Brokncyde's crap.

WHAT.
Eh. Not nearly as bad as the original, probably because her voice is less grating. I fail to see how an official religious parody is worse than some of the other parodies of the song out there.

I think this official remix is even better. It mostly features Patrice "Pato!" Wilson, that rapper in the car, uttering bizarre phrases like "Ark music factory has educated you on the days of the week!" and "Gotta get fried eggs!" It's meant to be a joke, I'm sure, given he has no problem calling himself "Fat Usher" now and lampshades the terrible lyrics by saying shit like "Which seat should I take? Front seat or the back? I'm confused." but he talks about eggs so damn much that it's more confusing than it is funny.

It's better, but not even a million-dollar production and multi-talented performers can make the mind-numbing lyrics of this song any less inane.

I agree...I read it in the Boston Globe yesterday and got a huge kick out of it.

Aaaaand she cam out with a new song. Unfortunately, far from being hilariously bad, this one is merely mediocre.
Still, I admire her tenacity.

Well, the video production isn't quite as hilariously bad. Her voice is still godawful though, and she's still painfully awkward in front of a camera. Who knows, maybe the whole "Friday" thing was just an Ashley Simpson SNL moment, and she'll go on to have a reasonably productive career.

Except for the fact that she's still flatter than a two-dimensional plane, and not even autotune can sledgehammer the proper notes into her songs.
