Okay, I just looked up the Wikipedia article on "airsofting" because I had no clue wtf you were talking about.

1. The article never explicitly states what airsofting is, although I eventually figured it out.
2. 90% of the article's contributers appear to be mall ninjas to my untrained eye.

Nah, it's pretty benign. There's a difference between having airsoft skirmishes, and thinking that being in airsoft skirmishes makes you a candidate for SEAL Team Six.

Yeah. Unless airsoft skirmishes involve slit throats, broken necks, and High explosives. In that case, being good at them, makes you a very good candidate for the SEALs.
