| So, Mikey, the next time you go into get a routine check up, I suppose you wouldn't mind if the doctor chopped off your balls and ate your still bleeding testicles right in front of you? | |

Analogy fail. The problem here is that the woman got injured while the doctor was branding her uterus that was taken out because it (likely) it was doing more harm than good. There's nothing routine about having your organs removed. The branding itself is not the main issue of the complaint, the injuries sustained while he was doing it is. Eating functional sexual organs =/= Branding defunct sexual organs.

Another complaint would be that he apparently did it as some sort of gesture of friendship, when she claims that they barely knew each other, and then only on a professional level. Something's not right there.

| Mikey, your take on this is so fucking shallow it's not even funny. The problem is not fucking property damage, it's medical ethics.
Shit. | |

Something's not right there. Oh, I totally agree. It's gross, creepy, and not ethical to fuck with removed organs. But that doesn't mean that it's unequivocally illegal. The doctor could be lying about doing the branding as a gesture of friendship, maybe. Rather, perhaps he did it because he thought it would be "fun". Either way, it's deplorable.

Oh, certainly he's unethical. That's pretty damn clear, and the state medical board should look long at hard and whether he should continue to practice medicine. Legally...well, I mean there is some argument for medical malpractice damages. It's not an easy case to win, because the plaintiff is going to have to prove that the actual procedure was somehow performed in a way that was out-of-step with standard techniques, or the doctor's actions during the removal of the organ was somehow negligent. The branding aspect is a much tougher call, and while deplorable and shameless may not be actionable in court.
