Humorous Misspellings

'Defiantly' for 'definitely'. Just because you're certain to do something, doesn't mean you can go around throwing it in the universe's face. Save your defiance for after you've pushed your luck one too many times...

I don't know how many fics I've read where the characters where going to collage.

Someone posted a section of a story to the Weeping Cock LJ community last night in which the author apparently is not aware that spellcheck can mislead you:

While that is a somewhat humorous misspelling, I'm laughing more at the use of 'assaulted' there. Needless to say my mental image of what was happening changed rather abruptly when I got to 'my most sensitive spot'.

I've noticed quite a lot of people using abstracted instead of distracted recently, and I think that a popular author did it, and then a bunch of kids who don't read books just copied it, thinking 'ooh, big word! Must be right'
