| Wouldn't it be faster just to make a thread of all the webcomics that don't suck? | |

| I used to read Ctrl-Alt-Del religiously, but one fine day the author expressed his opinion on miscarrying, causing me to go and delete the link. | |

| I like reading PHDComics, since occasionally it has a comic which perfectly describes what is going on at my department. Unfortunately, they are buried under tons of comics that are either not funny or really repetitive. I stopped reading every single one and as soon as I see one that has a punch line about grad students loving free food, I click "Next". | |

*runs away* Penny Arcade is a lot like leisure suits in the 70s: It suffers from the many many lazy (and occasionally outright horrible*) knockoffs. * Warning: Comic is frequently - and without warning - NWS.

*runs away* But Penny Arcade is actually a GOOD gaming webcomic. Fanboys would be too if it ever updated on time. I dare someone to read Shredded Moose without raging.

| Boston and Shaun: It's a furry webcomic about "fatting". Unfortunately, the worst comics have been deleted and the whole thing has been restarted. But! Remember, Shaun Reveal, remember... the Interbutts nevar 4get*. (The old comic ends on around September 23rd of 2004. Keep in mind that not all of the links have all of the images on them, so you might have to shuffle around a bit.) This comic was brilliantly lampooned by Something Awful a little while ago. *Unfortunately, the link I've got has an asterisk in the URL, which breaks the coding here on the forum. Here's the link in text form: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] -- Even though you can only click on the front bit of the link, you need the full thing to access the Boston and Shaun bit of the archive. | |

| I think I'm developing a bit of a hate-on for Ménage à 3 (occasionally NWS). It's a shallow sex comedy that follows the noble path set by shit harem anime like Love Hina by featuring little sex and even less comedy, no matter how funny it thinks its TOTALLY WACKY!!!! sitcom shenanigans are. Of course, it's not nearly as sexist or genearlly rage-worthy as, say, Shredded Moose, but I've seen a fair bit of buzz surrounding it for something so spectacularly mediocre.
Then again, one of the main characters is a bubbly French-Canadian blonde with tits the size of her head, and the art's easy on the eyes, so I guess I can see why some people would like it. I personally feel a neckbeard coming on to spite my estrogen when I so much as glance at the strips.
In the LOL FURRIES department: Gene Catlow, where all the animals look like they were traced from elementary math workbooks and Reader Rabbit packaging. There's some hamfisted attempts at Fantastic Racism from a human villain (Cats Don't Dance only barely got away with that shit), tired jokes about TOTALLY WACKY caffeine, and some really messed up plotline about a mutant psychic rabbit.
This comic has enough of a fan following that it actually shows relevant hits in Google Images when I do a Web search.

Additionally, despite the fact that the writer/artist is French Canadian herself (Acadienne, to be exact), she has no problem giving her Québécoise character a stereotypical (not to mention inaccurate) "French" accent.

| I wanted to like Menage a 3. At first it annoyed me because it tried to get cute with the Peek-A-Boo censoring of the sex. Then they dropped the censoring... and I realized I hated every single character - with the exception of the gigaboobed blonde, who merely annoyed me.
As for Gene Catlow, I read it for a few years, until I realized one day that I had no idea what was going on in the plot, and didn't care. That, and that damned rabbit has been pregnant since 2004 or somewhere therebouts. That's how slow the story moves in that comic.

I know that this isn't an antidote thread, but do you want to know what's an awesome webcomic? Breakfast of the Gods. I read it, and somehow, I am now afraid of Count Chocula.

I read it, and somehow, I am now afraid of Count Chocula. THAT IS AN AWESOME WEBCOMIC I finished reading the archives last night. Not only is the storytelling extremely compelling but the artwork is stunning. Thanks, Lysander! Now go and post it in Minor Awesomes!

| I don't know why I don't hate Menage a 3. It's so focused on LOLZ NAKED WIMMINS, it has no real plot that I can see, the "hero" is an awkward nerdy virgin. And yet I still read it.
I do hate Penny and Aggie. Over the past ... period of time, the storyline just pitched right down into unbearable, and it got a new artist who is attempting to copy the old style but is failing miserably. Obviously, it's no Shredded Moose, but.

| I used to read Jack. Then I realised that not only did the writer shamelessly express opinions on God, and that these were, on average, opinions I do not share what with God being an arrogant dipshit and all, but also that they were apparently incapable of reaching the end of a story arc, like, ever.
Oh, sure, they SAID the arc was over but they still made you read about the people being in hell and despite there apparently being a way out of hell nobody ever seems to get it except Fnar's mum.
My ex boyfriend's comic Eon's Comic was good, up until he forgot it was supposed to be about Sonic the Hedgehog, and not his Jedi rip-off prince character in space.
CONSTANTLY in space. With his girlfriend who is a princess.
Christ it's like Anthro-Star Wars and NO THAT DOES NOT ENDEAR ME TO IT.
And I feel bad saying shit like that because I know how much effort he was always putting into his pixel art, a vast amount of which is practically original.
