Kenneth Stanley “Bud” Adams, owner of the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans and co-founder of the American Football League, dead at 90.
This leaves Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson as the last living member of "The Foolish Club" - the AFL's eight original owners.
FYI: The other six members were co-founder Lamar Hunt (Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs), Harry Wismer (New York Titans/Jets), Billy Sullivan (Boston/New England Patriots), Barron Hilton (Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers), Wayne Valley (Oakland Raiders) and Bob Howsam (Denver Broncos).

I'm now wondering if they're going to retire all her characters, as they did with Phil Hartman.

A genuine legend and perhaps one of the most important men in the life of merry individuals has passed away. This is a terrible tragedy.

Holy shit. That's a weak "celebrity" even by this thread's standards. When you die at fucking 80 I'm going to post here that the world has lost one of it's, uh, internet forum posters. Was it your intention to set the bar so goddamn low so that you might get over it?
Bravo.

The only bad news here is that this didn't happen before that musical abortion he produced with Metallica. His liver probably killed itself out of embarrassment.

Makes me feel sorry for Ned Flanders. That's two wives he will have had snatched out from under him if they remove Edna from the series.
Although after 25 years, I'm surprised the attrition level hasn't been higher than it already is.

"I am tired/ I am weary/ I could sleep for a thousand years"
EDIT: Because seriously, Lou Reed dying really bums me. The Who, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones have their special places in the artistic development of a lot of my fellow musicians, especially where I come from. Shit, The Velvet Underground were The Who/Beatles/Stones to me, and I know I'm far from the only one. They're just one of those bands whose legacy just seems to get more and more significant as time goes on.
At least we still got John Cale...

This is clearly the most important thing that has happened in the history of forever.
Neckbeards everywhere are jumping into traffic, following their hero.

That's why I thought Chris:
Peter: No chance. Lois: The only thing that humanizes Peter. Meg: Killing her kills a third the show's non-random pop culture gags. Stewie: Killing him kills a third the show's non-random pop culture gags.
Which left Brian and Chris. And I figured Brian was safe because he was pretty much Seth's mouthpiece.

He's a mean-spirited strawman parody of Seth MacFarlane, I think.
Chris is about the only character who isn't a colossal dick, whore, bitch, asshole, or compete dumbshit that has joined a cult twice.
