The end. I wish. Tolkien's next top model by Rubiie - Quote :
- It's Lord of the Rings. It's Next Top Model. Together! Will the models be able to pull it together, or will they crack under the pressure?
At this point, I was really hoping that it was a parody, like Game of the Gods. - Quote :
- The whole room is pitch back, suddenly a figure clothes in white emerges from out of the shadows, throws back her hood, and stares dramatically at the audience. "You want to be on top?" Galadriel said.
I like it either way. - Quote :
- The scene cuts to the fellowship standing around looking bewildered in haute couture bathing suits.
I don't know what this "haute coutrure" is, but I don't want to see Hobbits in bathing suits. - Quote :
- Boromir tries to shield as much of his body as he can with his shield.
Good man. - Quote :
- Everyone huddles together except for Legolas, who flips his hair and gives the audience an insane amount of smizing.
What's "smizing"? Why does it feel so creepy? - Quote :
- The scene then cuts to individual shots of the models. Frodo is first, and bless him, holds up the ring and looks hopeless.
I've got nothing. This is so stupid and boring that I can't snark it. Can you? Galu!

| There are certain genres that can only be crossed over by either someone who's a very good writer, or is doing it for parody purposes. Reality TV and High Fantasy are two of these genres.
Next Up:
Real World: Middle Earth-Can four hobbits, an elf, a dwarf, a man and a Wizard co-exist in a small burrow in the Shire? What will happen with Samwise admits his hidden love for Frodo? Can Boromir handle his father's constant phone calls wanting him to come home? Will Gandalf get tired of the whole mess and turn them all into cabbages? Tune in and see!

It wouldn't be a real ending to pure crack like that unless Gandalf ate the cabbages afterwords.

It wouldn't be a real ending to pure crack like that unless Gandalf ate the cabbages afterwords. Good point. Gandalf them made the cabbages into a nice, hearty stew, which he shared with the citizens of Hobbiton. Everyone agreed it was the best cabbage stew they'd ever tasted. When questioned as to what had happened to the rest of his burrow-mates, Gandalf said they hadn't been able to handle the pressure and had gone home. Except for Sam and Frodo, who'd run off somewhere to get married, taking Merry and Pippin with them so they'd have someone to stand as witnesses at their wedding. The End

| Ah, I remember this. I was going to try and snark it myself, but I finally just kind of gave it up as hopeless and accepted it as a semi-troll fic to escape my guilt. It's just so...weird. | |

| Sounds like a perfectly reasonable fapfic written by some half-mad fan girl.
Edit: Having read the first chapter and 1/16 of the second it's practically a in-name-only, but I guess it does seem more like a troll fic then not.

| I've seen modern-day AU done right (this comes to mind, but if you don't like parody-fic it's not for everyone) but this... thing is far from it. | |
