| Since I can't find any porn I like on the net you know what they say. If you want something done right, do it yourself! Sadly, my blind ass isn't good at drawing on the comp and I need tips. Sadly, Deviantart doesn't seem to be helping and they usually comment on anything. Right now the hand needs the most work, since I'm probably gonna be lazy and copy, flip, paste for the right side. So far there's really no nudity, but I'll tag it later and ask a mod to edit the thread title when we get to the naughty bits. I don't really have references besides a mental image of what I want that isn't really set in stone. I'll edit/update the read as this shit comes along. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]WHY DON"T THESE TAGS WORK!? Seems this is only forum with the problem...lemme refresh my cookies or w/e. Here's my regular [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] just normal weeabo shit that isn't worth much. Half of it is very old and useless besides the awful MC Comparison and MC face sketches. I can't draw 3/4 angle for shit; I blame my lack of depth perception/peripheral vision/lack of an actual fucking art education because of shitty Catholic education. | |

| The best thing an artist can do to get better is to observe, observe, observe. And draw while observing. What I like to do is watch a movie, pause it every 20-30 seconds, and draw what I see. This gives you a lot of positions to work with. Shit, do it with pornography. The fact of the matter is, our brains can only roughly put visuals together in our minds eye, if anything at all. So, the best thing to do is draw what is in front of you.
You also must be very smart in how you observe, identifying the base structure (shapes and lines of action) of what you see. It took me years to actually embrace this as I always wanted to start detailing before I had a clear idea of how I wanted everything positioned.
This helps with hands. Finding the basic shape and positioning of the fingers can be easily roughed before you add the details. What I like to do is sometimes draw my most expressive pieces (hands and face) off to the side and then, after having that reference there, add that to the final drawing... And I don't mean copy and paste.
As for copying and flipping things like hands, don't. It won't bring you the same satisfaction when you "twin" things like hands and feet because in reality, they are hardly ever symmetrical. The best thing to do is to get a mirror and pose your hands in front. Observe and draw. Observe and draw.

| I tried this observe and draw thing for a picture of the Sun.
Now I'm blind.
Knorg, too dumb to live.

| I mean, I guess you don't have to worry about drawing the sun now that the bright sphere has been burned into your retinas. | |

| lol. Wouldn't viewing it from a telescope be a better option?
That said, I do try to have refs for the anatomy at least. I don't have much for the pose, since I'm not too sure what it will be. I'm going to set some arms and legs aside as I draw them, and see what I like better. I think I just might make a collage of the same char in various compromising positions and expressions.

| It may be tempting but don't go into small detail before you have laid down the major shapes. Like this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Once you are happy with the shape and position of the torso and limbs, you can go to town. I mainly draw and scan becaus I don't have a tablet, so most of the adjusting is done by tracing the old drawing - eventually moving the sheet I'm tracing if I made a leg longer than the other etc. Also, if you're desperate you can always take a pic of yourself, or an accomplice, in the pose you're going for, and trace the picture. | |

| Sweet man, thanks. This isn't going to be that big since I want to practice doing several different types of poses on one sheet of paper. Though that could be a bad idea; I'd still like to try though. | |
