Convicted rapist and possible serial killer released from prison after only ten years served

Murphy never expressed remorse nor would he work in therapy. He wouldn't co-operate with gardai who were investigating the disappearances of Deirdre Jacob, Annie McCarrick and JoJo Dullard. Nonetheless, he was given 25pc remission for this 'good behaviour' and released without proper assessment of the risks he may pose.

So, here we have a guy who raped at least one woman multiple times, tried to kill her, possibly killed several other women, and is very likely to rape and possibly kill again, given that he's refused any sort of treatment. HEY GUYZ LET'S, LIEK, TOTALLY RELEASE HIM INTO SOCIETY WHERE HE'LL BE FREE AS A BIRD!

Ah, what could go wrong?

With any luck, someone arranged for the early release of this toerag in order to dispatch him personally. It happens in fiction, no?

Like I mentioned in the chatbox, this has been causing me much rage all week.

Predictably, one of the soiled jizzrags we imported from Britain went and put up posters with a ten year old picture of Murphy saying "IF YOU SEE HIM CALL OUR DESK OR CALL THE GARDA HOTLINE", and so now the media focus is all about the tabloid hysteria and what if some poor unfortunate gets lynched because of mistaken identity and gaudy fucking blah twig for a wand.

There's very little to stop this guy reoffending. If he was involved in the disappearances of Annie McCarrick, JoJo Dullard and Deirdre Jacob, then he was getting bolder as time went on. JoJo was hitchhiking when she was abducted - the last known contact with her was a phone call to a friend, which JoJo ended by saying a car had just stopped and maybe she could get a lift. But Deirdre was last seen a few feet from her own house. She was snatched.

Ugh, fucking chilling. Shit like the above is why I'm honestly afraid to go out and take a walk alone in the evenings/late afternoon down the rural road that runs past my house. Sure, nothing's probably going to happen. The wrong sort of person probably isn't going to drive by me if I'm out there alone. But you never know.

Good Thing About Irish/British Prison System: Let's small time offenders off with light, "socially aware" (or whatever) punishments like community service of varying sorts and rehabilitation if necessary/possible (at least from whaat I understand).
